To help you on your journey, here are some simple tips to guide you along the preparation and submission process. Here is what our editors look for in contributed stories.

Why contribute to EDUtech_talks?

We have over a thousand engaged visitors a month who visit our site for in-depth discussions on the latest happenings in education.

What do we look for?

Here are some simple guidelines on how to make sure your article makes the cut.

  • Experience counts: While we appreciate that being a novice in the industry, contributions from seasoned professionals or those with relevant experience in education and EdTech are important.
  • Originality: If you’re writing about a well-worn topic, we’ll be looking for a unique argument or insight. We’ll also be looking at how well it builds on what we’ve already published and whether it might inform our audiences.
  • Advice is great: Have you been there and done that? Share some of your original insights and lessons learned with the community. If you can explain your thinking so that the reader understands how to apply it in a real situation, that will make it more powerful.
  • Trends and predictions: Know something we do not know about the education landscape? Share that story with us.

Things to avoid

We have seen enough to know what we definitely do not want, so here’s a short list to avoid being completely ignored.

  • Obvious link-building articles: We want to provide the very best and reliability is key. We will ignore articles that link to completely random websites.
  • Badly written content: We want authenticity and are open to different styles of writing, but there are basic rules to follow – proper spelling, good grammar and a good flow of information.

Rules that need to be followed

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion: We will prioritise content that depicts a broad array of examples and points of view and we will ensure that our content avoids stereotypes, bias, and language that “others” or diminishes non-dominant groups.
  • Trustworthy resources: Embed links to original sources of information (studies, stats, etc.)
  • Article length: An article should be a minimum of 300 words and a maximum of 1500 words
  • Language: We follow UK English, so please make sure your contribution uses the UK standard.
  • Graphics and pictures: The use of graphics and pictures are welcome. Videos too can be included, if adjudged by our Editorial Team to be appropriate. Where graphics and pictures are used, do include a short caption to describe what is being illustrated.
  • Proofreading and spell-check the document: Please run your article through spell check. We will reject articles with multiple errors.
  • Bios: Please include a bio for yourself (or the author) and a high-res profile image in square format (800*800)
